Support for Sagging Seat Cushions – Extend Furniture Life !

Follow 3 Easy Steps and Watch Video (before you order) to Extend the Life of your Furniture when inserted INSIDE your zippered seat cushion cover. Laying it under the cushion is a MISTAKE. The 3 steps tell you if this solution can work for your situation or not. You must have 2” of remaining thickness for this patented DIY solution to be effective.

Cushion Height (-) Sag Depth = Remaining foam thickness. Less than 2” of remaining thickness indicates either the cushion foam or the spring deck is too weak and there’s no reason to order.  Watch the Video and study the Photos to understand when it can work and when it can’t.

SagsAway is DIFFERENT from anything else. A military grade foam is inserted INSIDE the cushion cover to compress the remaining seat foam to increase foam firmness.  Laying it under the cushion will not increase foam firmness.  At first it may seem like it, but any firming effect is short lived as the foam product conforms and settles into the spring deck. This insert is for weakened seat foam – not weak or broken springs.

Most of our negative reviews come from those who ignore our instructions and lay it under their cushion.  At first, they think it works, then they think it’s sagging again because their results can’t last. If under the cushion worked, we would tell you. FAR SUPERIOR to simply laying anything under your cushion because that can’t compress and improve foam firmness. Works on foam only, cannot compress down cushions.

It’s not a matter of just counting cushions: Follow the 3 Steps and Measure before you order – so you won’t be disappointed.  Test one to see whether this solution is right for you or not.  Then, if you like the results, you can customize for any size cushion.

80% of those who follow the 3 steps are successful, because it can indicate if your foam or spring deck is too weak for this to work. Amazon handles all returns within 30 days – less return shipping. Sold exclusively on Amazon. A simple, cost effective “alternative” to replacing your foam cushion cores and to delay buying new furniture.

UNDERSTAND: Your cushions will continue to sag over time, just as they have. Even if you replace the cushion cores, that process starts all over again. This is simply the BEST ALTERNATIVE to replacing your cushion cores or the repair costs of an upholsterer. Your results will continue for as long as your remaining foam density and spring deck lasts.  The material we use is government tested to nearly 800 lbs. for compression and recovery.  Seat cushion foam used for “comfort” simply can’t last as long as this material.

STEP (1) Measure where you actually sit to select which size to use. Choose (Regular) 20″ x 18″ or (Large) 20″ x 27″ yet small enough to fit inside your cushion cover. Usually, you don’t need to cover parts of the cushion not sat on, like under the back cushions or the “T” on a cushion.

First Try One –  TEST RESULTS to see if this is a viable solution for you. Then if needed, cut and trim to fit (or) customize for larger cushions by purchasing an extra insert for additional filler material.

Customize For Any Size Seat Cushion

Because this goes inside your cushion cover to compress the foam, you can customize for any size cushion. This solution is all about compression of your remaining foam density, and the results are the same regardless of how many pieces you use for cushion coverage. It’s important that you have at least 2″ of remaining foam to compress. Can be cut with a straight edge and utility knife or good scissors.

Example 1.
Trim to fit for a 24″ x 25″ cushion.

In example 1, we use a Large 20″ x 27″ insert and cut off 2″.

We then used that 2″ to fill in for more cushion coverage (centered at the back).

Example 2.
Customized for a 24″ x 36″ cushion.

In example 2, we cut a Regular (18″ x 20″) insert in half, resulting in two 9″ x 20″ pieces.

Two 24″ x 36″ cushions would use (2) Large size and (1) Regular size insert.

These are just examples, additional material can be utilized any way you need.

The possibilities are endless with this DIY solution to customize for any size seat cushion.

STEP (2) Measure your cushion height with no one sitting on it.

STEP (3) Measure your cushion sag depth while sitting. Choose the insert thickness you need for your sag. Example of 6″ cushion: less than 3” use the 1” Severe (or) sags 3” to 4″ use the 1.5” Extreme. You must have 2″ of Remaining Foam Thickness to compress for this to work.

Try One – Test Your Results. Instructions and a phone number for support are included. If you don’t achieve the results others have, give us a call with your measurements. 2-ply heat fused material is used to make the 1.5” thick Extreme.

Note: To measure your sag depth for a chair or one long cushion. Place a piece of tape on the arm to mark your cushion height – then measure your sag depth while sitting.

Do The Math

The Math indicates whether this solution can improve your situation or not – before you even order.

  • Cushion Height (-) Sag Depth Measurement = Remaining Foam Thickness
  • Must Have 2″ of Remaining Foam Thickness to Compress for This to Work
  • Less than 2″ indicates either your Foam or Spring Deck is Too Weak
  • Inserts on the bottom INSIDE your zippered Cushion Cover
Note: This product conforms to the support under it and is used to compress weakened foam to increase firmness. It cannot compensate for a spring problem which would need to be repaired from underneath. A weakened or broken spring deck that can no longer support your weight is an entirely different issue.

CASE STUDIES CAN BE VERY HELPFUL

Numerous case studies were performed on the same sofa with a 6” cushion.  Your Sag Depth Measurement is very important in-order to select which level of support you need.

We found that different body types and shapes and the different ways in which people sit directly affects results.

That’s why we suggest you order one, evaluate your results and go from there.  Every sagging situation is different – you should be prepared to return and re-order if necessary.

MEASURE YOUR SAG DEPTH CORRECTLY

It is very important to measure your Sag Depth the same way you actually sit on your sofa.  If you sit with your legs tucked under you, measure your sag that way.

If you sit with your legs stretched out on a different cushion, measure it that way.  When your feet aren’t on the floor, the results will be different because more weight is on the cushion.

If your feet don’t touch the floor, or your legs are tucked under you, the improvement will be less than for those who usually sit with their feet on the floor.

You can see from these case studies, weight and height have a direct bearing on the results you can expect.

Note: Cushion Height – Sag Depth Measurement = Remaining Foam Thickness. Results diminish as the remaining cushion thickness is reduced to less than 2” thick.  There must be enough remaining foam to compress or this simply may not be a viable solution for you.

Drive Over Durability Test

The SOLUTION was finding a durable military-grade foam material ideal for cushioning and recovery properties needed to act as a shock absorber for foam longevity.

Think about it – sofas and mattresses have springs and or layers of foam for good reason.  Using books, plastic or plywood without cushioning can actually cause your foam to weaken faster, negatively affecting comfort.

Polyurethane (comfort foam) was not effective long term because it breaks down just as your original foam has. We use material that is chemically different and used in the aerospace industry. SagsAway name and logo are registered trademarks of No Sags Inc.
